The Advania Group has published its 2024 Annual and Sustainability Report, marking a year of strong progress in climate action, governance and transparency for the six companies across Northern Europe. The group has chosen to align early with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) – well ahead of regulatory deadlines – demonstrating its commitment to clear, accountable, and forward-looking reporting.

“We report beyond what’s required because openness builds trust and drives performance. Sustainability isn’t a side effort – it’s a strategic priority for a fast-growing company with long-term ambitions.”
– Hege Støre, Advania Group CEO

Advancing circularity and climate action

A major milestone in 2024 was the launch of Advania Dreamhouse in Enköping, Sweden – a state-of-the-art refurbishment centre designed to process millions of IT devices annually. The facility is certified BREEAM-SE ‘Excellent’, underscoring Advania’s commitment to circularity, carbon reduction, and responsible growth.

In Sweden, Advania also achieved a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, with 25% of hardware units sold coming from refurbished stock – boosting both environmental impact and customer value.

National highlights reflect local strengths

Advania’s decentralised model empowers each country to pursue sustainability priorities within a shared Group framework. 2024 highlights include:

  • Iceland: Launched Kolka, a digital platform that helps customers track, monitor, and manage their carbon footprint, supporting better sustainability decisions.
  • Norway: Introduced GHG reporting for IT services and product purchases, providing customers with deeper insight into the carbon footprint of their IT operations.
  • Denmark: Achieved 100% renewable energyusage across all data centre operations.
  • Finland: Joined a national public sector framework for responsible IT procurement, contributing to national carbon neutrality targets.
  • United Kingdom: Enhanced environmental data capturing initiatives and expanded local community engagement programs.
  • Sweden: Delivered strong results in circular IT through Dreamhouse and significantly reduced GHG emissions across operations.

Deepening trust, talent, and governance for long-term impact

With cyber security threats growing, Advania recognises that protecting sensitive data is a fundamental part of sustainable business. Investments made in 2024 strengthened digital resilience, safeguarded operations, and deepened customer trust – reinforcing cyber security as a key pillar of sustainability.

The year also saw continued expansion of Advania’s sustainable talent networks. In South Africa, Serbia, Sri Lanka and Poland, Advania’s nearshore hubs are built on selecting expertise, not cost. Salaries are based on role value rather than local wage levels, and community development is supported through donations of IT equipment to schools and partnerships with micro-businesses, including 100% black-owned businesses in South Africa.

Governance structures were further reinforced during the year. Advania introduced ESG-linked executive incentives, provided CSRD training for all country CEOs, and strengthened oversight through the Group Audit, Sustainability, Risk, and Compliance Committee. These measures reflect Advania’s ongoing commitment to embedding sustainability into every level of decision-making and leadership.

“We’re building a company that creates long-term value – environmentally, socially, and economically. Our people and our customers expect nothing less.”
– Hege Støre, Advania Group CEO

With CSRD alignment now firmly embedded, the Advania group is well positioned to continue scaling its efforts across circularity, digital trust, responsible governance, and sustainable growth – staying true to its ambition of delivering lasting value for people, planet, and performance.
