Mirus is becoming Advania. Here’s what that really means for you.

If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll know we don’t make a habit of change for the sake of it.

So, when you hear that Mirus is changing its name, it’s completely natural to pause and wonder what that means for you.

Will things feel different? Will the service change? Will the personal touch still be there?

They’re fair questions and we want to answer them clearly…

So, let’s start with the most important part.

The Mirus you work with today isn’t going anywhere.

Mirus IT Solutions will be known as Advania. But this is a change in name and branding only.

The people you know, the way we support you, our focus on small and medium-sized businesses, and the tools and systems you use all stay exactly the same.

So, what’s actually changing?

In simple terms, this is a brand change, not a service change.

We’ve been part of the Advania Group for more than five years already. During that time, we’ve continued to operate as Mirus: the same team, and the same way of working.

Now, we’re aligning our name and visual identity with the wider Advania UK organisation.

That means you’ll notice:

  • A new name and look.
  • New email addresses.
  • Updated branding on invoices and communications.

That’s it.

What’s staying exactly the same?

This is the bit that matters.

  • The people you know.
    Your account manager, service desk contacts, engineers, and consultants aren’t changing.
  • Your service model.
    Same tools. Same processes. Same SLAs. Same client focus.
  • Your contracts and commercials.
    No changes. No action required.
  • Your relationship with us.
    Still personal. Still human. Still built on trust.

Why we’re making the change?

By bringing our branding in line with Advania UK, we’re making it clearer that behind your familiar Mirus team sits a much wider group of expertise of over 1,600 specialists across the UK.

That gives you:

  • Greater depth when you need specialist knowledge.
  • Broader capability across cloud, security, AI, and modern workplace.
  • Long-term stability and investment.

But, and this is crucial, you’ll only feel that scale when it’s helpful. Day to day, you still deal with the same people who understand your business, your pressures, and your priorities.

Our client focus isn’t changing. It’s protected.

We know this is what many of our clients worry about most.

Growth can sometimes mean “less personal”. More layers. More distance. More ticket numbers, fewer conversations.

That’s not what this is.

Our focus is baked into how we work:

  • Dedicated client managers.
  • Named service teams.
  • Straight-talking advice.
  • Practical solutions that fit real-world budgets.

That model stays exactly as it is. It’s the reason clients choose us and it’s the reason they stay.

A quick word on the practical stuff

We know details matter, especially for finance and operations teams.

Here’s the short version:

  • From 16th February, legal entity will be Advania UK SMB Ltd
  • From 16th February, our new email address will follow the format: [email protected]
  • The Mirus website will remain live
  • Please register @smb.advania.co.uk and @advania.co.uk email domains to ensure you receive our communications
  • No change to VAT, company registration number, or registered address.
  • No change to bank details.
  • Invoices will reflect the new name from 16 February 2026.
  • Any invoices issued before then remain valid.

So, what should you do next?

Carry on working with us exactly as you do today. If you have questions, ask your usual contact. They’re still here. They still know your setup. And they’re happy to talk it through.

Change doesn’t have to mean disruption. In this case, it simply means a new name, with the same trusted team behind it and a little extra strength when you need it.

That’s where Mirus, now Advania, comes in. We’re here to give you all the benefits of scale, with none of the loss of personal touch.
